Fairfield County Archives & Resource Library

The Fairfield County Genealogy Society operates the Fairfield County Archives & Resource Library that is
staffed by volunteers. The library accepts email requests for simple research for a nominal fee. Research
for members during membership year is FREE and copies are FREE. Research for walk-in (non-members) is
free for the first two hours plus $0.10 per page for copies. Research for non-members is $15.00 per
request (after two hours) plus $0.10 per page for copies. Extensive information will be emailed or snail
mailed on a USB memory stick ($5 additional cost). Extensive research taking over two hours will be
returned with a list of local paid researchers.

The Fairfield County Archives & Resource Library is an affiliate resource center of the Church of Jesus
Christ of Latter Day Saints (Mormon). This means that patrons will be able to order microfilm from Family
Search, the LDS church's genealogical website, for viewing at our resource library. The film will be sent to
us, and the patron will be able to view the film. When the patron is finished with the film, we will send it
back. Patrons will need to register free on the Family Search website in order to perform searches.
